Dominion Anniversary Action - 8 April 2019

On 8 April 2019, Farm Transparency Project (then Aussie Farms) and Vegan Rising organised a series of coordinated actions across Australia, shutting down slaughterhouses and bringing the centre of Melbourne CBD to a standstill. The action gained enormous media coverage both nationally and internationally, and was publicly condemned by Australia's right-wing Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, who offered government assistance to any farmers wanting to sue Aussie Farms. Following this action, online views of Dominion skyrocketed, and the question of whether we can justifiably use animals for human profit was debated far and wide.
