Photos > Duck on Back 2018

Duck on Back - Due to their unnatural housing conditions, deprived of surface water for floating, ducks on farms will very commonly become stuck, laying on their backs.

During investigating, we would search through many sheds for ducks in need, flipping them one at a time to their feet so that they may walk to feed and water again.

Often when flipped, their feathers have been rubbed off and painful pressure sores have appeared on their backs, a testament to how long they struggled like that.

Some would manage to get to their feet by themselves, but many would not. Many do not.
