De-horned baby Goats - Disbudding is a painful procedure commonly performed on both dairy cows and dairy goats to stop horns from growing.

One method of doing this is by using a machine called an 'Electric De-horner', which essentially burns the roots (buds) of the horns- as seen here in the first two photos.*

The last photo is of kids found at a Goat festival in Victoria, who had come form a local goat dairy farm. Healing wounds from this procedure can be seen where horns otherwise would have grown.
