Cattle in Holding Pen - Cattle communicate, perhaps not in the same way that humans do, but it is undeniable that they communicate.

What are they saying? Are we listening?

Anyone experienced with cattle could tell you that their bellows and moos mean something. A contented cow would spend most of her time grazing in silence. What does it mean then when a pen full of them are calling out repetitively? And not just calling out, but calling loud and long, ending in a high pitch shriek.

If you have ever heard or seen that you would know the answer- that sound is a call for help. They may not be certain what they need help from, but they know they need it none the less.

These are the sounds heard from the holding pens of a slaughterhouse.
