Actual name of piggery unknown - the piggery is located within the region of Culcairn NSW. Culcairn Piggery is a small farrow-to-finish pig farm with industry-standard farrowing crates and sow stalls, and is accredited with the Australian Pork Industry Quality (APIQ) program.

Sows were found with pressure sores, dead piglets were found on top of the farrowing crates (evidently left there by employees) and one underneath their mother (most likely killed by overlay, a common occurrence within farrowing crates).

Many piglets have had chunks cut out of their ears for identification purposes - this process is done without anaesthetic and is common within the Australian pig farming industry.

The piggery appears to be on the same property as Wilksch Estate Wines; the only access appears to be through the winery. However, we have been unable to find a reference to any pig farming operations owned by Wilksch Winery.

Culcairn Piggery was the second to be exposed as part of Aussie Farms' response to the pig industry's self-declared "National Bacon Week" 2014.
